Akriven LLC is an independent software company. We build our own products, bringing design and development into the same process.

What we do

Our work covers the user interface, application behavior and supporting systems behind our products. We develop the software, test how its parts work together, and revisit the details as the product takes shape.

Our current focus is work and study. We’re developing Gimpo, a desktop companion that brings tasks, workspaces and focus sessions together.

How we work

Start with the activity

For Gimpo, that means looking at how someone chooses a task, begins a session, takes a break and returns to their work. These everyday actions shape the product.

Design and build together

We work on the interface and its behavior together. A screen needs to make sense both at first glance and when someone actually uses it.

Test the details

We check the connections between features as well as individual screens—such as whether a saved task is still there when the application is opened again.
